Introduction
When it comes to Miyagi Prefecture, we tend to turn our attention to major tourist attractions such as Matsushima and Sendai. It is easily expected that the presence of the military base of the Imperial Court to the north and the existence of the too great warlord ‘Date Masamune’ would have influenced it.
But, the wonderful things remain in the countryside near Zao mountains including attractive valleys, waterfalls, lakes and charming towns.
