Introduction
Naruko has long been famous for its hot springs and the beauty of the autumn leaves in the valley. It is also said that the name comes from the etymology of “crying child”, which is related to the legend of Yoshitsune. On the other hand, another theory says that in order to soothe children, Naruko Kokeshi dolls were made to make a squeaking sound when the head was turned, and this is said to be the origin of the word Naruko. Enjoy the gorgeous appearance of Naruko in autumn and the frightening appearance of Naruko in late autumn.
